Marie is one of the most important and popular tourist resorts in Pakistan. People from all over the country visit this beautiful resort to get away from the heatwave, and in winter when it is difficult to get to all of the northern regions, some stay at the nearby spas and enjoy the snow with no problems. Maree sights and places to visit

1. Patriata:

New Murree OR Patriata is 15 miles from Marie’s Main Hill in Lower Toppa. An exquisite mountain station with tall trees and beautiful hills. It is known for its valuable sky lifts. You can also take the world-class cable and chairlift from New Marie to Patriata Top. The road is about 7 km long. Don’t forget the cable car ride for a unique experience. There are also many wonderful landscapes in the hills near and far. In winter all the hills are covered with snow and in summer you can see lush landscapes.

How to Get there:

Patriata is located to the west of the Jhelum river, 59 km southeast of Islamabad and about 20 km southeast of Murree. Road access to Patriata from Islamabad/ Rawalpindi is along with one of two routes via the faster and better Express Way, or through old Murre Road, Lower Topa, and Jheeka Gali.

Winter: 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, October to May

2. Kashmir point:

Kashmir point is known for her calm. You can exit Mall Road from elsewhere, walk to the GPO and walk 15 minutes which will take you to Cashmere Point. You can drive all the way to the top of Kashmir. The path through Murree Cadet College leads to the Murree Pakistan Presidential Residence. From now on you can see the mountains of Kashmir. It is the highest point in Marie that attracts tourists’ attention due to the traffic jams on Mall Street. It has lovely visitors to visit.

3. Changla Gali:

It is the main mountain tourism center in Galiyat and is home to many hotels and resorts. When the weather changes, the beauty of Changlagari brings more colors and surprises. The whole city is cold in summer and it snows heavily in winter. It is always a better place for tourists because of its picturesque beauty and long pine trees.

4. Nathiagali:

NathiaGali is the most central and famous Gali in Galiyat Maree. Nathiagali is 35 km from Muree and Abbottabad and at 2,400 m above sea level. It offers spectacular panoramic views and views of the snow-capped mountains of Kashmir and Kohistani, as well as the snow-capped mountains of the Potosi Plain. To the northeast of the foreground is the lush hill of Milan Jani. Nathiagali offers unspoiled natural beauty and breathtaking mountain views. It is 900 meters from Milan Jani and 2008 meters from Muskpri Mountain. On sunny days, you can see the snow-capped Nanga Parbat Heights.

History:

During British rule Nathia Gali, then part of Abbottabad tehsil of Hazara District served as the summer headquarters of the Chief Commissioner of the (then) Peshawar division of Punjab. The town along with Dunga Gali constituted a notified area under the Punjab Municipalities Act, of 1891. The income in 1903-4 was Rs. 3,000 chiefly derived from a house tax, whilst expenditure was Rs. 1,900.

Climate:

The weather of Nathiagali remains cool, pleasant, and foggy in summer (1 May to 31 August). During the monsoon season (1 July to 16 September), rain is expected almost every day. Cold winds start to chill the weather in autumn. winters (1 November to 28 February) are very cold and chilly. In December and January, heavy snowfall occurs here. The weather remains cold in spring. Here most comfortable weather is the summer season. Frequent rainfall occurs here annually. Rainfall lies between 1650mm-1850mm annually.in winter temperature can drop to _10*C and in summer it rises to a high of 30*C.

Transportation:

The town is connected to Abbottabad and Murree by Nathiagali road. Public transport runs daily from Abbottabad and Rawalpindi to Nathiagali.

Between December to January, heavy snowfall can occur in this area and the road leading to Nathiagali is sometimes blocked due to heavy snow.

5. Ayubia:

Ayubia has become the most important place after Galiyat after Nathiagali. In 1984, 1,668 acres of Mountain Forest National Park were announced to protect beautiful forests and biodiversity. Since 1998, the park has expanded north to 3,312 hectares. The height of the Ayubia National Park varies from 1,050 meters in the valley to 3,027 meters in the mountains. These mountains are between 40 and 170 million years old.

6. Mall Road:

Mall Road is Marie’s most famous market. Here you will find all of Marie’s unique items. This street is open until 3 am and people like to go there for good weather and good food. The street is full of life, hotels, restaurants, handicrafts, and happy faces.

7. Pindi Point:

A 15-minute walk from Mall Road, Pindi Point is packed with young people. Visitors like to take a 1.5 km chairlift from Pindi Point to Bansaragari. The view from the cable car is also a great experience. From the top of the mountain, the rolling green hills are impressive.

8. Bhurban:

Bhurban is a popular area for tourists who have died due to its lush landscape and cozy and serene atmosphere. When you choose to stay at PC Bhurban, your joys are doubled. Luxury facilities with a view are always the best option for tourists. In addition, Bhurban is 13 km from Muri, one of the main roads to Azad Kashmir.

Residents:

Bhurban’s main tribes are Dhunds (now called Abbasis) Janyals and Ahmedals, all being indigenous descendants of Muslim hill tribes who have lived here for centuries. Many of these tribes converted to Islam during the 14th to 15th centuries AD.[4] Most of them still live simple rural lives, whilst a number of them have gone on to seek education and jobs in the plains, in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and even further afield.
